Features & Capabilities

Necrophone Pro

Necrophone Pro is a ghost-hunting Chrome extension designed for spirit communication and paranormal research. It features a preloaded word soundbank with a wide variety of terms, plus new capabilities such as white noise, reverb, and echo to enhance ITC sessions. The app provides a creepy vibe with a moving video background to help set the mood for ghost hunting and communication attempts.

The sound bank includes full and partial English words at varying quality levels, as well as partial phonetic words in other languages. It may resemble other ghost-hunting apps like Necrophonic, Paratek, and DeadWave. For recording sessions, users can pair Necrophone Pro with EVP recorders, EMF meters, or SLS cameras to potentially augment the experience and detection.

User Reviews

Overall, Necrophone is a polarizing spirit-box app. Many reviewers report unreliable performance: voices appear but responses are often random, repetitive, or inaudible, and the app can stop working after a short time. A common complaint is that the audio is a multi-voiced loop of pre-recorded phrases rather than live interaction. Some users do experience personal messages or hearing their own name, which they find intriguing or spooky, and a few describe the experience as creepy or entertaining. The free version is hamstrung by loud ads.
Pros
  • Hearing your own name or personal phrases during sessions (personal messages)
  • Entertaining and creepy atmosphere that some users enjoy
  • Occasional authentic-sounding responses reported by some users
Cons
  • Unreliable performance: often doesn’t work or stops after a short time
  • Audio is crowded with multiple voices, overlapping, and hard to parse
  • Content often feels pre-recorded/loops rather than live communication
  • Free version has loud, intrusive ads

I tried it for a day and the same voices were js spiting random words and didn’t align up with anything I asked and then after a day of not using it it just stopped working and I did everything I could to make it work again and nothing worked so I don’t recommend this app if u want to talk to spirits

I Heard Voices I Asked If Anyone Is There So I Did Not Get A Response Back To Me It Just Got Me Thinking Any Body Know This App Is Real Or Not
by Jo*****, 2026-02-15

Downloaded this app just a few minutes ago to try it out because the other reviews seemed really cool but I opened the app and hit start. Lots and lots of voices came through. Never even got a response to any of my questions. Heard one lady say she accidentally spilled coffee on her table last Friday and I heard that phrase maybe more than 5 times. Quite odd. I’m not 100% sure all this spirit stuff is even real to begin with. I just get in the kicks of oh I wanna try and see what I get. Nothing fancy or anything but never truly get anything. Most of the apps I’ve tried are Just random generated words that don’t mean anything. Cool but odd I guess would be my take on it from my experience with the 15 minute I sat with the app. Wouldn’t do it again. The multiple voices and absolutely random phrasing was just weird to me. 2/5 stars for me (:
