ivySCI is an AI-assisted reference manager designed for researchers to streamline literature reading and management. After you import PDFs, ivySCI automatically identifies paper metadata (titles, authors, abstracts, DOIs, journals) and even captures journal impact factors (CiteScore). It offers built-in translation and dictionary lookup, AI-assisted reading, and AI proofreading and translation on Mac. The tool can extract PDF content, zoom images, and present the document’s structure in an outline with thumbnails, helping you access key information quickly.

It surfaces references without flipping to the end, supports a customizable download engine to locate literature faster, and enables side-by-side text and image viewing with zoom. Notes can be created on any device and are synchronized via the cloud, so your literature and notes follow you across Mac, PC, iPad, and iPhone. The ivyCite plugin lets you cite literature and notes in Word or WPS without interrupting your workflow. While some features depend on PDF formats, ivySCI continuously optimizes its engine to improve performance across devices.
