FF Stories — a sanctuary for fanfiction. Read Archive of Our Own (AO3) the way it deserves to be read: in a quiet, beautiful reader that respects you and your time.

NO TRACKING. NO ANALYTICS. NO SERVER. The Sanctuary runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad. Your reading history, highlights, sigils, and preferences never leave your device. There are no third-party SDKs, no telemetry, no analytics — none. The only data that ever leaves the app is what you send directly to AO3 (your kudos, comments, bookmarks) and your subscription receipts, which go straight to Apple.

KUDOS GO TO THE AUTHORS. Every kudos, comment, and bookmark you leave is sent directly to AO3 under your own account. Authors see the engagement they would from any browser. The app is just a beautiful buffer between you and the Archive — nothing is lost.

I like the app. Being able to read AO3 stories on my phone is great. But, it won’t ever sync. I can log in, but then it tells me to check my internet connection (full bars). It never lets me see favorited updated fics.

I noticed that the app has a flaw in that as a result of me having over a thousand bookmarks and many marked for later I can’t see them all. There are no like pages function for those tabs. Also, for future features it would be great if the marked for later and bookmark tabs had sorting and search functions. Overall this is a great app I just wish it didn’t have this flaw and had the functions I listed. This the best ao3 reader on iOS so I hope it continues to improve.
