Not only are the songs remarkably beautiful- but it’s like a soothing massage for my brain. Nothing can calm and soothe my mind like listening to these meditones. Meditation alone is hard for me to commit to or rely on myself for- now I only need earbuds and o am absolutely transported. This app/this music NEEDS to be heard by the world.

I’m multiply neurodivergent and struggle with relaxing and insomnia, which makes it difficult for me to enjoy a restful and restorative night of sleep. I’ve tried dozens of YouTube channels plugging the positive benefits of binaural beats, but I’ve always found them impossible to listen to. After discovering Restful, I now realize they were missing the magical beauty of meditones, perfected by a fellow multiply neurodivergent, trained musician, and talented artist. I was sold on this app after listening to the 10 minute sample, They Fed Me Stars. To show just how much a single 10-minute meditone impacted me, I realized I was stimming while listening—my hands and fingers reacts to music, which has always been a thing, but I was usually dancing so never placed it as a stim (I’m a late-discovered Autistic adult). And, when it hit the part towards the end where, to me, it sounded like deep, rolling thunder, coming from far away… I wish I could find the words to explain the joy that sound triggered within me, as I’ve always found rolling thunder soothing. I’m so grateful to have found a tool that actually works for my unique brain! 💖
