PitPat shows potential as a treadmill companion, especially for Deerun users who report reliable pairing and initial positive experiences. However, the app is repeatedly criticized for reliability and usability problems. Frequent Bluetooth disconnects and inconsistent workout logging make data hard to trust. The UI is cluttered and buggy, with crashes, freezes, and navigation issues. Ads, pop-ups, and aggressive notifications degrade the experience, and account/privacy hurdles—such as forced login or slow deletion—add frustration. A minority still finds value in early use and in comparing PitPat favorably to other apps.

Recent reviews

There was no way to turn off the notifications while my phone was charging on my laptop. I deleted the app. Dumb behavior. Have a good day and good luck to all of you with your workout goals. This wasn’t for me.

I had to download and sign up for this awful app to use the treadmill I bought, which was not a fact that was made obvious when I purchased it. It forces you to download the pit pat app and sign up for an account to activate your warranty, which in turn activates the walking pad of the treadmill. Super predatory and the app just seems like a bunch of AI slop and wants to connect with all of your personal information. They say you can call the 800 number if you don’t have a mobile device but they still make you give away personal info to use your treadmill. I just can’t find anything useful in this app and the counts it gives do not actually seem accurate.
