User Reviews

Reviewers broadly like Linktree for its all-in-one link hub and usefulness for creators, but reports of persistent reliability issues overshadow the positives. The app is described as buggy, slow, and prone to crashes; users also complain about aggressive upsell practices and the removal of free features, plus signup/verification obstacles. Some features (export, previews, business tools) do not work as expected, and analytics data can be inconsistent. Overall, the concept is valued, but reliability and monetization concerns dominate sentiment.
Pros
  • All-in-one hub for links that saves time
  • Easy to use and convenient for sharing across platforms
  • Helpful for creators to showcase products and manage their bio/links in one place
  • Strong concept with broad usefulness for link management
Cons
  • Frequent bugs, crashes, lag, and reliability issues
  • Aggressive upsell and removal of free features; confusing pricing and Pro-focused model
  • Account access problems, including verification codes not arriving and sign-up hurdles
  • Some features do not work as advertised (export CSV, enhanced previews, business integrations)
  • Analytics data inconsistent across sessions

I've had a rocky experience with Linktree that raises some real concerns about how the platform is managed. Red flag 1: About a year ago, I received two separate emails, roughly an hour apart, both informing me that my account had been unbanned. I hadn't been notified of any ban in the first place, so this was strange, though I let it slide at the time. Red flag 2: More recently, I discovered that Signal URLs work perfectly fine in the top "Quick Links" bar, but are blocked in the main body of my Linktree page for being a "suspicious link." Signal is a well-established, widely trusted messaging app, so this inconsistency doesn't make sense. If the link is safe enough for one part of the page, why is it flagged as suspicious in another? This smells like a programming or policy oversight that nobody has bothered to fix. Red flag 3: When I reached out to support for clarification, I was simply told that I can't post "suspicious links," without any acknowledgment of the double standard I'd pointed out. No real explanation, no fix, just a canned response. Linktree, do better. This seems like amateur hour. There are tons, just tons of these social link organizing apps. Other options offer better user experience, improved support, less cluttered ads in the page and forwarding emails.

This app is so buggy it is nearly unusable. The stickers don’t work. The UI gets messed up and you can only fix by restarting (therefor loosing edits). It randomly crashes for no reason. The list goes on and on! Don’t waste your time downloading the app, just use the browser version on a computer.
