AK Control

This is definitely one of the more well thought out design wise be it functions grouping or the material design ish UI. Unfortunately it still suffers from two issues. First is the debug process being not comprehensive. IOS sometimes need restart to make Bluetooth connection discoverable by apps, it's not just ak, fiio and alike too. But the debug page never wrote this so a lot of people just try disconnect reconnect and quickly get turned away. Second is, if there's device connected and the app already discovered it once, it really should just skip the splash screen and enter the control interface directly unless more than one device is connected Otherwise good work. ironically the devices' firmware are having issue. For example hb1 always miss one or two step in the encoder here and there. This really should be fixed by firmware update at this point

I own a number of headphone preamps and DACs, but I held out hope my new Astell & Kern’s AK HB1 would stand head and shoulders above the rest and satiate my hunger for the perfect portable preamp/DAC. I was sadly mistaken. I discovered what so many other consumers had sadly discovered, “An Incentestable Reason not to purchase Astell & Kern’s AK HB1.” Irregardless of my best efforts (e.g. resetting the DAC, reinstalling the appplication, et cetera) when I repeatedly tried to use this device with my Seinheisers or Bower Wilken Px8’s, the AK Connect application will not recognize this new DAC or it will initially recognize the device but then unexplainably disconnect the headphones while listening to Qobuz, Tidal, or Apple Music. Now, three weeks later and the most recent OS update (i.e. OS 26.4) installed on-both devices, I have run out of patience and the desire to endure another high blood pressure headache and or the incessant need to consume a litany of Tums Ultra strength Berry flavored antacid tablets while attempting to resolve the conflict. “Help!”
