UniMaps

UniMaps is an app that makes your life as a student on the campus of Bielefeld University easier. In addition to navigating through the campus, the app provides you the latest cafeteria menu and the current tram schedules.

You might need to find the office of an employee or professor. Then just enter their name and this app navigates you there instantly. If you are visiting a particular room frequently, it may be useful to save it as a favorite so that you can always quickly select this room as your destination. It is even possible to name rooms yourself so that you don't have to remember the room number. If you do not know where you are, you can scan the QR-codes on the door signs. Those allow you to find out your current location in addition to navigating you through the campus. You can adapt the app to your individual needs. For example, if you are not able to pass stairs or crowded places on the way to your destination, UniMaps will offer you an alternative route. In the development of this app ‘accessibility’ was particularly important. That is why all colors were chosen high in contrast and we fully support VoiceOver.
