Features & Capabilities

The NFHS Center for Officials Services (COS), powered by DragonFly, is the centralized officiating app for high school referees. This Chrome extension brings COS features to your browser, letting you view game assignments, receive push updates, chat with your crew, and access digital NFHS credentials on the go.

Key features include managing your schedule, blocking time for your assigner, sharing distance limits, recording ejections and incidents, keeping a history of past games, and applying for new credential cards. Coming soon on the COS app and website: register with state and local associations and officiating groups, and pay officiating dues.

User Reviews

User reviews describe a highly unstable app with serious scheduling and payment issues. Repeated problems include crashes, lack of calendar integration, unreliable payments and fees, and weak support. Many officials compare it unfavorably to Arbiter. The few redeeming points are basic schedule viewing and earning transfers.
Pros
  • Schedule visibility: the app allows officials to view upcoming assignments.
  • Pay transfers to a bank account from the app.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and the app won’t load or freezes, causing disruptions on game days.
  • Lack of calendar integration and poor scheduling tools (no effective Google Calendar sync; difficulty viewing full schedules).
  • Delays in payments with transfers taking days and additional per-transfer fees after a limit.
  • Poor customer support with slow or unhelpful responses.
  • Compared to Arbiter, the app lacks many essential features and overall feels inferior.

Why are we still waiting 3-5 business days to receive our money. It should be in our personal account immediately. Dragongfly is still useless.

1. No access to testing or NFHS for officials so have to go online to access. 2. Only Partial schedule shown leading to confusion when Arbiter as trustworthy as ever gives full schedule 3. No confirmation given after request of funds to be transferred is submitted so more confusion.
