Features & Capabilities

Secrets is a password manager extension that securely stores passwords, cards, and other secret data. It uses 256-bit end-to-end encryption and biometric or passphrase protection, and your data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync, which is encrypted and private.

Key features include generating strong passwords, AutoFill, and one-time codes for 2FA; import from 1Password, LastPass, or CSV; cross-device syncing via iCloud; and browser integration with Apple devices and compatible desktop browsers. It supports unlocking with Touch ID/Face ID and automatic locking for added security.

User Reviews

Secrets offers a clean UI and strong Apple ecosystem integration with good cross-device syncing and value, but users report sync reliability, upgrade/pricing confusion, limited password-generation controls, performance issues, and trust concerns due to its closed-source nature.
Pros
  • Clean, Apple-like UI that feels polished
  • Strong Apple ecosystem integration: iCloud sync across devices, biometrics, and autofill; TOTP support
  • Easy import from other password managers and smooth cross-device syncing; good value for the price
  • Responsive customer support
  • Security model leveraging iCloud-based storage and native Apple protections
Cons
  • iCloud sync reliability issues and device authorization delays
  • Upgrade/compatibility gaps between major versions and unclear premium purchasing
  • Limited password generation controls (punctuation customization) and autofill limitations across contexts
  • Performance issues: iPad crashes, Mac slow, indexing delays, lag when viewing/copying passwords
  • Security/audit concerns due to not being open source and lack of third-party audits
Recent reviews
This might not have all the bells and whistles of other password managers but Secrets is solid and not as expensive as many others. Love it so far.

If you like cryptic, confusing error messages, this apps for you. If you like ambiguous verbiage that gives you no clue whether you're being asked to change your Secrets passphrase or enter in a new Apple ID, this apps for you. If you like not being able to find any info on exactly HOW to purchase premium version, this app's for you. If you like paying the full price to own version 3 and using it for 2 years, and then it not being compatible /syncable with version 4, this apps for you. If you like spending the better part of a Saturday wasting time on the internet trying to get answers, only to be more confused than when you started, this apps for you. If not, seek a differnt app. I'm out.
