I really like the Brother SP1 printer. The print quality has been good and the printer itself is easy to use. However, I think the Artspira app needs significant improvement. The connection is frequently lost, which can be frustrating, especially when working on a project. Another major limitation is that Artspira is only available on mobile devices. It would be much better to have a version for a computer or laptop, or at least better support for a larger tablet screen/keyboard and mouse. Designing on a phone can be difficult when you need to work with text, positioning, and detailed designs. I really like the printer, but improving the Artspira app and connection stability would make the overall experience much better.

This app is working for me just fine but the newest update in August 2026 has completely broken my workflow. I can no longer make a customized piece of mug sublimation paper at 9.5” x 4”. My dimensions are no longer allowed. I tried to use the mug template in the app, but it’s too small for my designs. I cannot print from my desktop to the printer (this was a problem before which is why I’m using the app in the first place). So basically I cannot use standard sublimation mug paper, which is ridiculous. This is not great since I have hundreds of wholesale orders I need to ship. I’m incredibly annoyed. I will change my review if this is fixed.
