User Reviews

Drip is praised for strong privacy and local data storage, a simple UI, and strong fertility-tracking features (BBT, mucus, cervix data) with data control. Users value its open-source, ad-free approach and free core features. Common drawbacks include Celsius-only temperature input, stability bugs, poor support for long cycles, limited mood/symptom tracking, and data-import friction from other trackers.
Pros
  • Privacy-first approach with data stored locally on the device
  • Simple, minimalist, and user-friendly interface
  • Comprehensive fertility tracking features (BBT, cervical mucus, cervix data) with data import/export
  • Open-source/ privacy-conscious design (no third-party data collection)
  • Free/basic features without paywalls or ads
Cons
  • Temperature input limited to Celsius (no Fahrenheit support)
  • Stability and data-entry bugs (crashes, resets) and long-cycle handling issues
  • Poor handling of long cycles (>99 days) leading to mis-recorded lengths
  • Limited mood/symptom tracking and customization options
  • Difficult data import from other trackers (migration friction)

I have tried Clue and Flo and drip is my favorite by far. I love the minimalist interface and how you can easily track fertility signs alongside your period. I especially like how you can see those fertility signs in a chart format. I also love how it’s open source and you don’t have to create an account so you are truly anonymous and your data is more protected. My one very tiny suggestion of the thing I would change is, I would love to be able to log my period into the future, as once I get my period I prefer to log the whole thing in advance so as not to have to log into the app multiple times (and Flo had this feature). However, that is a very small thing and overall it’s an awesome app. I think everyone should use it.

I would love this app for its privacy, not having to sign up, and minimalism; but i want to do more then track my period - i want to replace paper fertility awareness method tracking. Using Celsius only to track basal body temp just doesn’t work because I’m in the US and therefore so is my thermometer and brain, and any meaningful association with temperature values needs to be in Fahrenheit.
