User Reviews

Vimlike is a highly capable Vimium-like Safari extension that delivers a complete navigation toolset with a polished UI, easy setup, and active development. It’s praised for bringing Vimium-like power to Safari across macOS and iPadOS, including strong iPad support, and for its quick access to shortcuts via help hints. The main caveat repeatedly noted is iPad-related bugs/compatibility problems, with users hoping for smoother behavior on iPadOS. Some users also point to feature gaps (bookmarks, custom search options, faster link hints), but the core experience is widely positive.
Pros
  • Comprehensive Vimium-like navigation with a wide feature set
  • Polished, user-friendly interface and easy setup
  • Actively developed and updated for the latest Safari changes
  • Strong cross-platform support, including macOS and iPadOS (iPad compatibility)
  • Free to use and well-received as a Vimlike alternative to Vimium
Cons
  • iPad-specific bugs/compatibility issues (e.g., scrolling jitter on iPadOS; calls for improved support on iPad with iOS 17)
