Brilliant Bible

To start I give 5 stars for the comics! They not only have engaging story but will have reference scriptures in between each chapter along with helpful information to give greater insight! To be honest I think it could be good to have this be the main purpose of the app. Their customer support is absolutely wonderful and they are constantly updating and improving things like the amount of translations available and adjusting text size. The 3 stars is for the AI art. I appreciate the idea but I would appreciate if rather than “fixing” the AI they took the time to pay artists to replace the AI images. I think they’re fine to keep while replacing them with REAL art but it should start. Really you don’t have to have an image for every single verse. There are often times when one image works for 2-3 verses. I hope they make this change. If they do this app would be absolutely perfect! My biggest complaint with the AI is that it makes every character look basically the same, David, Jesus, Peter they all look the same and very stale. There is really no feeling or emotion. So please start working to replace the images with real art! The people who complain about the fact that it costs anything are silly. If you want a free bible there are LOADS of options. This one is paid to help those artists who are bringing the bible to life through illustration. They deserve to be able to make a living!

When I saw that there was a unique drawing for every verse, I assumed it was too good to be true. It was. All of the drawings are nonsensical AI generated images. I don’t know why they use the word “art” in their marketing. There is no shortage of actual art from centuries of talented Christian artists who were able to imbue their paintings with theological meaning and truth. Unfortunately, all a computer can do is mimic and distort human art. I will stick to the art we already have.
