Users praise value, easy integration, fast uploads, and decent video quality, but reliability is hampered by frequent updates, tracking glitches, network outages, ads/watermarks, and login issues. Overall, strong potential exists but stability and update reliability are major concerns.

Pros

Strong value for money with broad functionality compared to competitors.
Easy hardware integration and setup.
Fast video uploading with the ability to watch the game on the way home.
Good video quality when the system is functioning.
Second-screen remote controls and scoreboard feature (previously available).

Cons

Frequent software/firmware updates that brick the device or degrade functionality and break features.
Unreliable auto-tracking: loses track during stoppages and substitutions and misses action near the camera.
Network/cloud dependency causing recording failures: network timeouts, cloud outages, and requirement for internet to record.
Ads and unnecessary blocks in the app, plus watermarking on videos.
Login/session issues: Sign in with Apple problems and frequent need to re-login

I wish the Export Highlights button in the Edit Markers in Video function would export the video to the original resolution. Currently it takes my 4k videos and automatically exports them to 1080p with no option to keep it to 4k.

The XbotGo hardware is at best an 85% solution on a good day, but 70% on a bad day. They use a heat map based model to track the players and the gimbal follows a centroid of the players. When it play it is good enough most of the time, but it will lose tracking during stoppages and substitutions. The fix was manual adjustments that were easy using the second screen feature and also had a scoreboard you could control. The latest update killed that. The manual remote disconnects every game and doesn’t automatically reconnect. The only option now is to pause recording, let it reset, and hope that it tracks again. Until they fix it, I would not buy XbotGo. It’s so bad our team is about to switch to Trace or Veo.
