Overview

Features & Capabilities

Everdell on Chrome brings the award-winning board game to a bright, digital format. Adapted from Tabletop Tycoon, this extension lets you build a whimsical Critter City by gathering resources, constructing Constructions, and recruiting colorful Critters. Each card scores points, and with up to 15 cards in your city, strategic combos and synergies can propel you to victory as you pass through four seasons.

On your turn, choose one of three actions: Place a Worker to harvest berries, twigs, resin, pebbles, and cards; Play a Card to add Constructions or Critters and unlock abilities that boost your score; or Prepare for the Next Season as your workers return and the season cycle continues. Face off against friends in cross-platform multiplayer or test your civic wits with AI play and Solo Challenges.

User Reviews

Overall Everdell on Apple devices is a beautiful, faithful adaptation that shines in solo play and with friends, and its visuals and tutorials make it inviting. However, players repeatedly report expansion related issues, persistent bugs after updates, and unstable servers that disrupt matches. A lack of undo or confirm turn, plus mobile UI friction and small-screen readability, further hampers play. Addressing expansion reliability, server stability, undo functionality, and refined UI would significantly improve the experience for both new players and long time fans.
Pros
  • Faithful digital adaptation that mirrors the board game
  • Fun and engaging to play, with solid solo and online multiplayer options
  • Beautiful visuals and polished UI
  • Good tutorial that helps new players learn the game
  • Easy to play on the go and play with family and friends
Cons
  • Expansion content is unreliable or unavailable: expansions not included, not persistent after reinstall, and expansion related scoring bugs
  • Server and multiplayer stability is poor: frequent disconnects, being kicked out of games, hard to start friend matches
  • No undo or confirm turn option leading to accidental moves and ruined games
  • Poor mobile UI and visibility: hard to see cards and events on small screens, touch navigation is finicky
  • Update related bugs that disable paid extras or otherwise break features

The graphics are amazing and true to the physical board game. The way you can scroll around the board is really cool. The game prompts play and actions well. The only complaints are your guys can just disappear if you don’t drop it right and you can’t go back to review the game play. Otherwise, amazing game love playing it on here.
