Craftsy's app offers offline downloads and a broad, well-presented library of classes across many crafts, with clear instructors. However, recurring issues hamper value: difficulty canceling and auto-renew charges with weak support; limited content and premium upsell; poor search/navigation; cross-platform access problems between website and app; and no resume/continue watching feature.

Pros

Offline download of lessons for offline viewing.
Clear, easy-to-follow video classes with good instructors.
All-in-one library of patterns and class materials.
Wide range of crafts covered (knitting, sewing, quilting, cooking, etc.).

Cons

Difficult to cancel; auto-renewals and charges after cancellation; poor customer support.
Limited content and heavy push toward premium membership; not worth the price.
Poor search/navigation with frequent 'no results' when searching.
Content/purchases available on the website but not accessible in the app (cross-platform issues).
No continue watching/resume feature; hard to pick up where you left off.

Last year i had gotten a subscription that was good for a year. I think it was like $40 or something. This year at renewal, they charged me $234.36!! OMG!! I had no notice that it was going to be that much. I didn’t even think it was worth the $40. The videos didn’t play in order and I had a hard time watching a “series” in order because an episode would end, then when it came time for the next episode to finish what i was learning, a random episode would come on from another craft entirely. I love the concept of this is but it’s not well executed at all. I also felt it was VERY shady to charge that much money without warning at renewal. I have cancelled my subscription after multiple disappointments of various things. I really wanted to love this :(

You’re only able to see all the wonderful classes they have but it’s impossible to download. If I had access to the classes it would’ve been an amazing special…but not being able to download the classes off my iPad Pro is ridiculous. Hopefully they will get this situation resolved in the next months hopefully because I would so love to use the classes.
