The "iplan mobile" app is a component of the "iplan" workforce management solution and also allows easy management of notes and todos.

The "iplan" system allows rostering and scheduling of a company's employees through a sophisticated user interface. The "iplan mobile" app allows employees of companies using "iplan" to access their duty roster. The current duty roster is always displayed, and changes to staff scheduling are immediately updated and flagged in the app.

The app is divided into four sections:

• Dashboard
• Duty roster view
• Requests
• Notes and todos

The first area, the dashboard, displays basic rostering information, especially related to the current day, in addition to the user's own shift, as well as the shifts of selected colleagues.

The second area, the duty roster display, allows the user to choose between a calendar view, in which a month is always displayed, or a list view, in which the user can scroll the days of the calendar vertically. A special feature is the possibility to display the duty roster of a selected colleague next to the user's own duty roster in the list view. This helps, for example, to find carpooling opportunities or to identify duty swap opportunities with colleagues.

In the third area, the request processing, a list of all requests already entered by the user is displayed in the default setting. Such requests are either absence requests, e.g. vacation requests or requests for special leave, or they are "general requests", e.g. requests for specific days of service or exchange requests agreed with colleagues. The request list shows for each request whether the request has already been approved or rejected. From the request list, the user can navigate to a detail screen for a request, where a request can be edited or new requests can be entered. The requests entered by the app user appear in the GUI of the iplan workforce management system shortly after they have been entered and can then be edited and ultimately decided on by the workforce management staff at any time. This centralizes and simplifies communication regarding all employee concerns related to their roster.

The fourth area allows for the capture and management of notes and todos. This data is stored exclusively locally on the user's cell phone, so these features are also available offline, i.e., the use of these functionalities does not require the user to have an account for the "iplan" workforce management system.
