User Reviews

Users praise MadFit for its wide workout variety, level-appropriate options, and motivational coaching, with programs that support consistency. Recurrent drawbacks include upsell-heavy access, frequent purchase errors, and device-related issues (TV casting and iPad screen/layout) that hamper usability across platforms.
Pros
  • Extensive variety of workouts and programs across different styles and difficulty levels.
  • Suitable for all levels (beginner to advanced) with options ranging from no-equipment to heavy-dumbbell routines.
  • Clear, motivating instruction from Maddie and trained instructors like Liney.
  • Ability to customize or follow preset programs, making planning workouts easier and promoting consistency.
  • Positive, uplifting approach that many users credit with helping their fitness journey and routine adherence.
Cons
  • Free tier is limited and many features require a paid subscription, which frustrates users who want more access without paying.
  • Purchase and upgrade processes can fail (purchase errors, discount options not working), creating friction.
  • TV casting is unreliable (inconsistent casting to TV) and users struggle with connecting devices.
  • iPad UI is not optimized (vertical layout, not full screen) and cross‑device syncing can be clunky or limiting (difficulty switching between iPhone and iPad).

I follow Maddie on YouTube and love her workouts. I’ve been using the free features on her app and think the full version would have been worthwhile. The 60% off welcome subscription would have been something I would have paid for (I feel it’s important to support people who put this much energy into something they believe in.) but I can’t justify $119 (regular subscription) a year on an app when I could get a whole planet fitness membership for $180. If they could make it so the 60% off welcome subscription works, I’d pay.

I’ve used MadFit for at least 5 years now, Maddy is an og but all the girls she’s added makes for great variety. Started this as a student when I couldn’t afford the price and time of a gym but never left since it’s so effective! High quality workouts at home are easy with the app and all the tracking tools help set and achieve goals as well!
