Ecowitt's iOS app delivers solid device setup, broad sensor support, and strong charts with fast data access, but it suffers from UX issues, restricted graph data views, lack of push alerts, frequent login problems, and update-induced instability.

Pros

Easy setup/provisioning for devices and gateway
Works reliably with many sensors and gateways (scales to large networks)
Excellent charting/history and data visualization
Fast data retrieval and decent maps
Practical and functional app that delivers core functionality even if the UI isn’t polished

Cons

Poor UI/UX; not polished with a steep learning curve
Graphing changes/new views limit data visibility and make it hard to view trends
No push notifications for alerts (only email) and lack of iOS badges
Frequent login/authentication issues and no biometrics support
Update-induced breakages and upgrade loops

Recent reviews

The setup of devices couldn’t have been easier! Unfortunately once you have a bunch of linked sensors the app only shows 2-3 of them at a time with no way to view all at a glance. There’s also no way to shift the weekly or monthly graph view one day at a time meaning that every new week or month it cuts off most of the previous graph data with no way to view the most recent trend.

Great app, works seamlessly with the dozen sensors I have running. My only issue is I would like to get notifications when my water sensor is going off, when the temperature gets too high on a certain sensor, when the air quality is bad, etc.
