It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, free of charge and advertising, with optional $25/year membership for extra features. Living in a wildfire zone where we recently had a rapidly moving fire in proximity to our location, this app is a must to stay current on the range of a given fire and its containment. You don’t need to rely on standard news sources because Watch Duty provides continuous updates.

We live in a high fire danger zone and so do our families in neighboring counties. Really helpful to get immediate warnings of fires that could affect us or our families.
