Watch Duty is a wildfire mapping and alert app powered by real people—vetted by trained firefighters, dispatchers, first responders, and reporters who monitor radio scanners around the clock. It delivers up-to-the-minute updates, real-time incident progress, active fire perimeters, infrared hotspots from VIIRS and MODIS, wind data, evacuation orders, and more on an easy-to-use map.

It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, free of charge and advertising, with optional $25/year membership for extra features. Watch Duty is not affiliated with any government agency; information comes from trusted sources, including government agencies, radio transmissions, and satellite data.
