The lights won’t even work without an app setup to keep them from flashing. The app doesn’t connect to Alexa. There is no Alexa skill. The FAQ is worthless. The app seems like someone quit halfway through building it. Half the features don’t even work. After getting a new router, there’s no way to change the WiFi settings to make the light connect again, so it’s headed for the dumpster. | |

Solution: 1) On different phone than ap is installed.. connect that other phone to a 2.4g network. 2) Then, open the hotspot on that second phone and note the connection password. 3) On the phone with the gt-lite app, add your device (+ button or manual selection. I used the ‘AP’ mode) 4) Enter the hotspot wifi connection id and password. That should solve issue.. as hotspot wifi and ap on phone both close to the fixture. | |

We had to return the lights and get new ones (the lights worked perfectly fine until we got the app). | |

| 2022-02-24 | ka***** | I attempted to connect a 5500 lumen LED panel light. Attempted multiple times for about an hour. Finally gave up and called Patriot Light customer service. They offered to send a new light, however, it seems unnecessary to call an electrician to come over and repeat the installation process, just to have the same issue. I requested to have a new light shipped to me that didn’t require any wifi or Bluetooth. I don’t need a smart light in my kitchen if it’s such a hassle to connect. They agreed to ship a new light. Can’t wait to return the smart light. | |
