Alpha and Omega Ministries is a Christian apologetics organization based in Phoenix, Arizona. James White, the director, is a professor who has taught Greek, Systematic Theology, and various apologetics topics at numerous schools. He has authored or contributed to more than twenty-four books, including The King James Only Controversy, The Forgotten Trinity, The Potter's Freedom, The God Who Justifies, and What Every Christian Needs to Know About the Qur’an. White is a prolific debater, having engaged in more than 174 moderated, public debates with proponents of Roman Catholicism, Islam, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Mormonism, as well as critics such as Bart Ehrman, John Dominic Crossan, Marcus Borg, and John Shelby Spong. He has debated in locations such as Sydney, Australia, and at mosques in Toronto, London, and South Africa. He serves as Pastor/Elder of Apologia Church in Arizona and has been married to Kelli for more than 37 years, with two children and four grandchildren.
