The BCone, itself, works great. You can dial in the sensitivity like you need, and it’s very responsive. But the app is absolute trash. When the alarm is going off, it won’t actually turn off from the app. So, you just get a repeating notification and request from the app to turn it off, which is enraging because it never turns off from the app. You have to physicially turn it off from the docking station in the house.

The alarm works as advertised in person, but the app is slow to respond to alarms. Alarm push notifications are dreadfully slow and it takes upwards of a minute to silence the alarm through the app. The app would not likely help you save a child who had wondered into the pool. At best it will tell you there are trespassers. Beware of its limitations. Use it as an additional measure of safety, but not as your sole means of monitoring the pool for unauthorized swimmers.
