Sky Tonight - Stargazing Guide

Star Constellation Finder App

Features & Capabilities

Sky Tonight is a brand-new astronomical Chrome extension by the developers of Star Walk, designed to help stargazers answer the three key questions: what is that bright dot, what events can I see tonight, and how can I find the object I’m interested in? It’s a fully customizable stargazing tool built for different needs, letting you adjust constellation visuals, set reminders for space events, explore observer-relative trajectories, filter by magnitude, and more.

Key features include a real-time interactive sky map, Time Machine to explore past and future positions, AR mode for overlaying the sky onto your device’s camera view, extended object information on tap, updates via the What's New section, night mode, brightness controls, and the ability to spot dozens of asterisms and official constellations. The app also supports customizable event reminders, a comprehensive astronomy calendar with a Stargazing Index and weather forecast, and a flexible search to quickly find objects, events, or news. Premium Access unlocks all features and removes ads for an uninterrupted stargazing experience.

This is not even an app for a novice. No instructions whatsoever. I was trying to see the strawberry moon. I could see it with the naked eye but the app had me in a totally different quadrant. Not worth it at all.
