User Reviews

Reviewers praise the app for easy, fast, photo-based plant IDs and travel usefulness, with strong positive sentiments overall. However, recurring concerns center on pricing/subscription transparency, trial-gating access, and occasional misidentifications. These factors lead some users to view it as excellent usability but limited by cost and accuracy issues.
Pros
  • Easy to use with quick plant identification from photos (snap-and-identify).
  • Thorough identifications when multiple photos are used, with a high likelihood of accuracy.
  • Travel-friendly and informative, offering links to learn more about plants.
  • Overall positive sentiment from many reviewers, with comments like it’s the best/awesome.
Cons
  • Pricing and subscription model is expensive and not transparent upfront.
  • App can gate access behind a premium trial or subscription, which feels intrusive to some users.
  • Occasional misidentifications in certain cases (e.g., mislabeling long-leaf plants as yuccas).

Don’t be fooled by this EXPENSIVE APP It will not tell you what is wrong the plant! I thought that’s what I was paying for based on their advertising So now I’m out 40 bucks for nothing-

I have this developer’s “Plant Light Meter” app which I purchased for $3, and it’s one of my favorites. Wish this one had the same price model, I’d be fine paying more. Unfortunately, I think I’ll stick to google lens.
