User Reviews

Play Nine is a fun, accessible golf-card game with solid social play and multiple modes, but its experience is marred by heavy advertising, monetization frustrations, and perceived fairness issues. Transparency around bots/odds and a clearer currency system would help it realize its potential.
Pros
  • Fun, easy-to-learn golf card game with multiple play modes (Solo, Journey, Tournament) and social play with friends and family.
  • Appealing visuals and accessible gameplay with a clean, attractive UI.
  • Good replay value and variety in how you can play, balancing luck and skill.
Cons
  • Very frequent ads, including after every hand or round, which disrupts gameplay.
  • Perceived cheating/fairness issues due to bots or unbalanced matchmaking and unclear odds.
  • Nagging subscription prompts and ads even for paid users; high cost to remove ads.
  • Confusing or underwhelming in-game currency and power-up system; coins feel limited or not clearly useful.

It’s really annoying when both players are ready to go out but then have to go through endless amounts of high cards before finally getting a low number card. They also recently added these clouds to the Home Screen which takes up time and is very distracting. They need to make it where the solo play speed should be for all the regular games as it takes up too much time. Also, give the player only 10 seconds before their turn is up. 20 seconds is too long especially if you are playing 3 or 4 players.

The game itself is fun and easy to play. The never-ending ads make playing this game unenjoyable. Having to pay $13 to not receive ads is ridiculous on a free game.

The cards that come out aren’t random. Tournament mode would be better if it was stroke differential not lowest score.
