QRboy is a fast, no-nonsense QR code scanner and QR code generator. Open the app and the camera is already scanning: no shutter button, no setup, no account.

SCAN

• Point the camera at a code and QRboy reads it instantly.
• Reads QR codes plus barcodes: EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-E, Code128, Code39, Code93, ITF-14, PDF417, Aztec and DataMatrix.
• Switch on the torch to scan in a dark room or a dimly lit shelf aisle.
• Already have a picture of a code? Pick an image from your photo library and QRboy reads the QR code in it.
• The result appears as plain text. Copy it to the clipboard with one tap, or open it in your browser when the content is an http or https link.

CREATE

• Type a URL or any single line of text and QRboy turns it into a QR code, up to 2,331 bytes.
• Choose the colour of your QR code; the background stays white so it remains easy to scan.
• Share the finished code as a PNG through the system share sheet: send it in a message or an email, or save it to your photos from there.

Everything runs on your device. Scanning and generating work offline, there is no account to create and no server involved. QRboy has a dark interface that stays comfortable at night, and it is free to use, supported by ads.
