User Reviews

Users praise the app for an ad-free, easy-to-use experience and its usefulness for people with speech loss, dyslexia, or language needs. It supports multiple voices and languages. The main downsides are the subscription model and limited free usage, with occasional reports of robotic-sounding voices in the free tier.
Pros
  • Ad-free experience with no ads.
  • Extremely helpful for users with speech impairments, medical recovery, or learning disabilities (e.g., post-surgery, throat cancer, dyslexia).
  • Simple, intuitive, text-like interface that makes communication easy.
  • Supports multiple languages and voices (English/Spanish) and offers clone voice options.
  • Useful across medical, educational, and daily communication needs.
Cons
  • Subscription model with fees; many reviews criticize paid features and ongoing costs.
  • Limited free usage (e.g., 50 messages per day) which hinders ongoing conversations.
  • Some voices sound robotic or less natural, especially in the free tier.
  • Preference for a one-time purchase rather than an ongoing subscription.

Generally an incredible text yo speech app! As of typing this its free, you only have to spend money if you want better voices! A lot of apps you’ll find will give you temporary free use then they shut down. This is a very good text to speech app!
