Echoing another reviewer’s complaints about setting alarm thresholds, I’d also like to point out alarm issues as a whole. No matter what I’ve tried - enabling and disabling the alarm within the app, setting different thresholds, and more - this sensor triggers alarms which cannot be even temporarily silenced like any other alarm on both my phone and watch. Have finally ended up disabling the app’s ability to send notifications entirely, and will work to pull its data into Home Assistant just so I can never have to use the app again.

I like the app but there are several things that drive me nuts and I beg the developers to fix these soon. 1. For the Breathe Air Monitor+, the proximity sensor on/off setting does not work no matter that. I have it cut on, because the display is like a burning sun in my room at night while I try and sleep. Even with the setting on, it never cuts the display off. I’ve tried to cut it off. Still doesn’t matter. Changed the delay. Doesn’t matter. I know I can dim the screen down to nothing but this is a manual thing and totally defeats the purpose of the proximity sensor feature. Please fix this as there is no way for me to have the unit cut the display off when I’m not around or (wishing I could fall) asleep! 2. When pulling up the monitoring and chart, please make it match what is selected and showing on the unit itself or at least allow a setting to choose a default measurement to show on loading this screen. My critical item is CO2, and the app will always default to showing the PPM every time you go to this screen and you have to manually change it. I have no need to view the default metric so it’s a headache… but would be an easy feature to add to the app. 3. We need to be allowed to set the alert thresholds higher or lower. For instance, the unit measures CO2 from 400 to 5,000 I believe- but the max alert you can set it to is 1,600. Yes that’s bad, but my room regularly hits this metric even overnight and therefore without being able to up the alert number higher than 1,600— the alert essentially becomes useless since I have to disable it so I don’t get bothered by it every day. Same for the other metrics, change the ranges to be within the actual device’s full detection scope. Some people want to be only alerted during very high or dangerous levels only, not just when “status hits poor”… there is still “unhealthy” level and you can’t even set the alert high enough to alarm for that. 4. I don’t know if this is the unit or the software but getting it to detect by the app took sooo much time and troubleshooting- it simply would not detect the unit in pairing mode. I tried nearly everything (I’ve been in IT networking for 25 years- so I know what I’m doing) and it took me days to figure out a solution. That’s bad news for the average person or even worse for someone without tech knowledge. Only when I fully drained the unit’s battery and then held the power 10 seconds to set it to pairing mode AS I was plugging it in and reintroducing AC power, it finally detected. I had put it in pairing mode dozens of times prior, and tried with and without using the QR code in the manual- never once worked until the battery drain trick. As said, may be hardware or firmware so I won’t blame the app necessarily on that. But I almost gave up on the app entirely due to this struggle; luckily I gave it one last try. All these things seem negative but only because they are pretty big deals and I have seen countless other customers report/request these exact same things (both here and in other reviews), so please help us and update the app very soon with these fixes! Otherwise the app is good looking and is a great companion to the unit. If they fix the bugs above, it would be awesome and my rating would be at least 4.5!
