Not sure if it’s the app or the sump pump not working. Information hasn’t been current in the app for weeks. Water came up in the basement 2 days ago. Water splashed up on the lid and battery.

This is my first smart sump pump. Setting up the Wi-Fi through the app did not work. I have IT networking background and I knew what it could be. I could not find any specs on the Wi-Fi card. After finding an old manual online there is a an alternative way to setup Wi-Fi on the sump pump. And after getting into that way. I found the issue. This Wi-Fi card only supports WPA2 and only on 2.4ghz. I had to downgrade my router Wi-Fi security from WPA3 only to WPA2/WPA3 mode. Only after this and using the alternative way it connected and stayed connected. There has to be a better way to provision Wi-Fi on these things. All in all the app works. I had a service technician come to fix some leak on the check valve and he was testing with the different float sensors and the app did notify me through app as well as email of the different alerts.
