Electrical Troubleshooting MS is a free, ad-free Chrome extension that teaches practical voltmeter skills and circuit troubleshooting. It features 17 randomly selected electrical problems, a motor starter animation showing forward and reverse contact configurations, and an instant switch between a control schematic and real-time PLC logic to reinforce learning.

Start in Normal mode to understand how a reversing starter operates and how to use virtual voltmeter probes to measure voltages at test points. When ready, switch to Troubleshooting mode and use the Troubleshooting Assistant to set operator switches, test the circuit, and identify faults. If you’re unsure, the app provides a list of possible problems and a way to submit the answer. This tool aims for safe, hands-on practice and is completely free with no ads.

As someone trying to get into controls, I have learned an immense amount from how real circuits operate. From not understanding the problem to now able to get some of the issues right on the first try. This has been excellent app for developing skills. Thank you
