Features & Capabilities

NW Publisher (New World Publisher) is a free Chrome extension that helps church communities manage meeting parts, assignments, duties, and events for congregations. It provides views for Midweek and Weekend meeting parts, local and away Public Talks, and roles such as Chairman, Watchtower Reader, and Hospitality, plus schedules for field service and public witnessing carts. The app also lets publishers submit Field Service Reports and receive reminders for upcoming announcements.

NW Publisher is not an official app of Jehovah’s Witnesses and does not collect personal data beyond what is entered by your local congregation elders. It sources data from elder-approved materials and is completely free to download and use.

User Reviews

Overall, NW Publisher is valued for centralizing congregational data and saving time, with features like planning and a real-time map. However, recurring reliability issues undermine trust: updates often cause data loss, schedules and reservations disappear or reset, and login/rejoin problems persist for some users. Reviewers urge bug fixes and stronger data integrity, while continuing to request optional enhancements and improved notifications. The app remains a useful, user-friendly tool despite the frequent stability concerns.
Pros
  • Centralized congregation data (schedules, assignments, contacts, and more) in one app.
  • Time saver; reduces paper use and helps planning.
  • Helpful for staying informed and planning congregation activities.
  • Real-time map feature adds value.
  • Easy to navigate and user-friendly.
Cons
  • Data loss and disappearing schedules after updates (publisher records, personal schedules).
  • Public Witnessing reservations unresponsive or erased after updates; rejoining/login issues.
  • Persistent bugs and instability across months (schedules disappear, assignments reset).
  • Login/rejoin difficulties and related workarounds (PIN issues, needing admin toggles).

This is my go to app for notifications and helps organize my theocratic life! I would like to ask if it would be possible to make the “hours area” numeric and alpha? Thank you for this useful app!

Beautiful app you all have made. Just one thing. If the notifications would be at least 21 days vs 14 days, that would be much better and eliminate the need to notify ones another way; as the slips should be sent to the students at least 3 weeks prior to.
