Polyglots: Town

The Polyglots are part of the Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) program, funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment and managed by Education Services Australia.

The Polyglots apps are a series of seven engaging play-based language learning apps that encourage preschool and kindergarten children to explore another language and culture. Preschools set the apps to one language from a choice of Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Modern Greek, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese. The Polyglots apps are aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework.

The Polyglots in the Town features places and activities commonly found in Australian suburbs. Children are encouraged to observe the environment and interact with it using familiar language from apps 1-6, and through new language.
