Tonality is an app designed to help anyone practice perfect pitch or learn to read music. Whether you sing, play an instrument, or just want to learn more about music, Tonality can help you achieve your music goals.

Start by learning the basics with Staff Reading. You will learn to read notes, intervals, and chords in Bass and Treble clef. Customize a Staff Reading session as you see fit to develop your ability to read music.

Pitch Recognition is the perfect mode for anyone looking to train their ear. Using Tonality you can learn to recognize Notes, Intervals, and Chords by ear. Pitch Recognition can also be customized to suite your needs.

Not ready for Pitch Recognition? Give Relative Pitch a try. Relative Pitch plays two notes and you select which one is higher in pitch. Great for beginning to train your ear.

For those who want to further advance their learning, there is Tonality Pro. Pro users gain access to more instrument sounds, an on screen piano, and an option that allows you to practice with a real instrument.

There’s a settings page to manage your plan, and it only lets you pay them more money, not cancel

I feel like the way the interval reading is set up, it’s a bit difficult to fix this (you have to decide between sharps and flats) but I don’t like some intervals are actually labeled incorrectly. Like yes, they sound how the interval should sound, yet they are presented and labeled in a misleading way. For example, I’ve seen minor thirds a few times as Db to E, yet that would be an Augmented Second. Also, it would be great for tritones if you could just label them as “Tritones” (or if you could label both aug4 and dim5 - it makes a difference!!) Felt the need to be picky, but it is an overall very nicely made app. Would love to have more clefs added too (tenor, alto, and maybe soprano just to stretch the brain)
