Learn Samskrit

Learn Samskrit is the e-Learning platform of Samskrit Promotion Foundation (https://samskritpromotion.in). Over millennia, Samskrit has been the principal vehicle of the knowledge traditions and practices of Bharat, or India. This continuum of the language not only helped create innumerable branches of knowledge, but also resulted in an unmatched corpus of classical texts in every conceivable domain of human endeavor, thus laying the very foundations for the development and spectacular rise of the Bharatiya civilization. However, in the last century Indian learners were denied opportunity to study Samskrit. The language of science and medicine (Ayurveda & Yoga) has been Samskrit. The language of literature, philosophy, religion, arts, music, has been Samskrit. Courses under“Samskrit for Specific Purpose series“(SSP) bridge this disconnect between Samskrit and modern times. All this directly in Samskrit itself --- not in translation, as the essence can easily be lost. SSP series is uniquely designed to facilitate the study of the target language through the target subject, and the study of the target subject through the target language.
