User Reviews
Pros
- Engaging, memorable stories, especially The Last Cat Alive.
- Beautiful artwork and immersive soundscapes/music for each story.
- Strong motivational aspect: helps you wake up on time and form a morning reading habit.
- Flexible purchasing: buy stories individually with trial reads.
- Positive overall design and presentation that enhances the wake-up experience.
Cons
- Too few stories available at launch (only three), limiting content and variety.
- Paywalls to continue reading started stories; some reviewers find this outrageous.
- High price for the limited content (annual subscription around $70 for just a few stories).
- Some disturbing or disliked content (e.g., poisoning animals) in the stories.
- Limited alarm options (e.g., only 6, 7, 8 AM), making it less flexible for some users.

I was riveted by The Last Cat Alive and finished it before the free trial ran out, but I couldn’t really connect well with the other two stories (I’m sure they’re good stories, they just didn’t grab me in the same way; probably just a subjective taste thing, no shade to the other stories or their authors). I would love to see more stories in the app. I don’t use it anymore and never paid for it, but The Last Cat Alive remains a memorable story for me - I’d love to read more of that author’s work! And I think the concept of the app is fantastic.

It was about $70 ($75 after tax) for an annual subscription, but the app as it currently stands only has three stories. Once you finish all three stories the app serves as a regular alarm clock. I made my way through each one thinking another three would be loaded once I got the end, but that’s not the case.
The stories themselves vary in terms of quality content. Unfortunately I read the best one first and the other two were downhill from there.
I will say, the artwork was lovely for all of them, and each story is set to different music. I appreciate the effort that went into the entire thing.
I just think $70 is a lot to ask for three stories.

I enjoy reading a chapter first thing in the morning instead of spending 30 minutes reading webtoons. I just wish this counted towards the 5 minutes of reading a day in the health app.
