Did you know that more than 60% of elders that live in residences aren’t visited at all? Adopta un Abuelo wants to change that by letting you help elders with your company. Meet a grandad or grandma whom you will be able to share stories in unique, wisdom-filled experiences.

In Adopt a Grandparent we want all grandparents of the world to feel that they are being listened to, accompanied and loved. We will make sure that you enjoy his company alone, as a couple or with your family.

We have adapted to the current situation by developing the required technology so both grandparents and volunteers can keep enjoying a bunch of activities together.

◉ I WANT TO BE A VOLUNTEER:

If you want to contribute by accompanying our elders, download Adopt a Grandparent and follow these steps:

Register from the app. Indicate your hobbies and interests to know you better. Sign up for a subscription of 9 €/month with no commitment of permanence. You can also make an annual payment for 90 €, and if you are not satisfied, we will give you your money back. You are now part of the community! Connect and share stories with the grandparent closest to you.

◉ HOW CAN MY OWN GRANDPARENTS OR ELDERS I KNOW JOIN THE PROGRAMME?

In Adopt a Grandparent we want all elders to have accompaniment completely free. Any elder, whether he/she resides in a residence or home address, can join our programme and receive assistance.

We give priority to those that don't have any family visits, but any grandparent who needs or wishes to participate can do so.

◉ WILL I BE ABLE TO MEET MY “ADOPTED GRANDPARENT” IN PERSON?

At present, due to the situation caused by COVID19, we recommend avoiding face-to-face visits. The activities and events organised will change depending on the evolution of the pandemic and restrictions.
