User Reviews

Users praise Verbare for being easy to use and highly helpful for practicing Italian verb conjugations, with a portable flashcard style and flexible tense options. The paid version is seen as good value. Common drawbacks include no progress tracking or spaced repetition, missing pronunciation on flashcards, limited verb-group customization, the ability to hide sides, and the need for more targeted translations by person/tense.
Pros
  • Easy to use and straightforward for learning Italian verb conjugations.
  • Highly helpful for practicing and reinforcing verb conjugations.
  • Flexible practice options: isolate tenses, enable one tense at a time, and customize groupings.
  • Convenient flash-card style on a handheld device, great for quick sessions anywhere.
  • Reasonable value; paid version is worth it and offers ongoing benefits.
Cons
  • No built-in progress tracking or spaced repetition, making it hard to track improvement.
  • Missing pronunciation audio on flashcards and no automatic pronunciation on reveal.
  • Limited customization for selecting large verb groups; lacks simple bulk selection or star/favorite verbs.
  • Inability to hide either the Italian infinitive or its English translation to test recall.
  • Translations may not display the correct person/tense for prompts, reducing usefulness for targeted practice.
Recent reviews
I am enjoying using this app. However, it would be much more useful if the translated word was offered in the person and tense the prompt is indicating. For instance, instead of “think - Pensare - voi - passato imperfetto- “you (pl) were thinking -pensare - would be much more useful.
