User Reviews

Users praise the app's core idea and capability to replace skies, noting impressive results when it runs. The masking tools and the added import sky feature are valued, with some reviewers highlighting the tree brush technique. However, stability and cross‑platform issues dominate: frequent crashes at startup or during sky masking, unreliable masking behavior (disappearing masks, halos), undo/redo malfunctions, and significant Mac compatibility problems. The lack of clear tutorials adds to the learning curve. Overall, Infinite Skies shows strong potential, but quality and reliability must improve for broad, consistent use.
Pros
  • Impressive sky replacement results when it functions
  • Masking workflow (tree brush) offers creative control
  • Import sky feature added improves workflow
Cons
  • Frequent crashes, including on startup and during sky masking
  • Mask tool instability with random disappearances and halos
  • Undo/redo not working reliably
  • Mac compatibility issues (crashes on Mac, Big Sur compatibility, potential re-purchase concerns)
  • Tutorials and guidance are vague or lacking

I love this app

I love this app but I’m thinking it’s not for an iPhone. My undo/redo buttons don’t work nor does my mask. This means I have to start all over a lot and some of my photos aren’t good for this app. For example, rough seas in a picture is not a flat horizon so the app can’t handle that. It cuts limbs off trees and people that are the subjects. Sometimes the subjects have halos. Not sure if I can transfer to my Mac without purchasing again. Tutorials are vague. When it works it’s awesome!
