Normandy Shores Golf Course

Normandy Shores Golf Course sits on a man-made island off Miami Beach. Land donated in 1928, the course was created through dredging and fill, designed by Howard Toomy and William Flynn, and dedicated in 1941. The wartime era and postwar growth helped mold its storied place in Miami Beach's golf scene, with famous visitors such as Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, and Peter Thomson gracing its fairways.

In 2008, Arthur Hills led a major redesign that revitalized the aging layout. Since 2011, Normandy Shores has hosted the South Beach International Amateur, attracting players from dozens of countries and cementing its status in international golf. Today the city-owned course remains a premier destination for golfers across Miami-Dade, blending history, architecture, and competitive spirit.
