Calculate the TBSA burned by entering the patient’s age and weight and the shading of burned areas on representative body part maps.

The EasyTBSA smartphone application was developed in partnership between the Division of Trauma and Burns and the Sheik Zayed Institute at Children’s National Hospital. EasyTBSA requires the entry of a patient’s age and weight and the shading of burned areas on representative body part maps. When using this application, it is important to remember to only shade areas that have a partial thickness burn or a full thickness burn. Superficial burns should not be included when calculating the TBSA of the burned patient.
