User Reviews

Players overall find Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel fun and graphically strong, with a wide deck variety and accessible play against real people. However, multiple reviews cite persistent connectivity issues, a monetization-heavy progression that hampers card access, slow matchmaking turns and stalling, and a perceived first-turn imbalance that can tilt games. These recurring themes frame the game as enjoyable but challenged by performance, pacing, and pay-to-progress concerns.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging duels against real players.
  • Great graphics for a digital card game.
  • Wide variety of decks and an easy-to-use interface.
  • Free-to-play friendly with gem rewards and accessible card acquisition.
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity issues and disconnections (lag) that can cost games.
  • Heavy monetization and a gem-based progression that makes card collection slow and can feel pay-to-win.
  • Slow pacing in matches due to long turns and player stalling, leading to lengthy duels.
  • First-turn advantage and coin-flip-like formats that can make the meta feel unbalanced.

They refuse to fix the game, everyone literally takes 45 minutes to take a turn and I get 9 seconds games full of hackers and don’t expect any help on anything because they refuse to help actually

Had to start a new File. It it’s ok it just gives me an excuse to try a bunch of new decks

This game is starting to suck even more now. Too many mod players and the game becomes one sided really quickly. I can run a top tier deck and somehow my opponent has every disruption on every play. Either the shuffling really sucks but when I play the actual game I don’t brick or draw the worst cards. Please fix this. Makes the game unplayable and unpleasant
