User Reviews

DailyBean is praised for its easy, quick journaling, rich customization, and cute UI with mood/activity tracking and a positive daily impact. Common drawbacks are ad load and premium pricing, plus some cross-device/widget compatibility issues. Overall, it’s a versatile, beginner-friendly journaling app, best for users who don’t mind ads or who can afford the premium features.
Pros
  • Easy to use and quick to journal, fitting into just a few minutes.
  • Highly customizable with many features like mood, steps, sleep, period tracking, photos, and themes.
  • Cute, aesthetically pleasing UI with widgets and elements like the fortune cookie.
  • Positive impact on daily life and mood, helping with journaling consistency.
  • Offers many features for free with minimal ads.
Cons
  • Ads can feel intrusive; the app relies on ads for access to some features and the ad load can be noticeable.
  • Premium pricing can be expensive and unaffordable for some users (e.g., students).
  • Cross-device and widget compatibility issues (e.g., Mac purchases not syncing, home screen widgets appearing washed out on iOS).

Great for jotting down emotions, or as a period tracker, or just a journal, you can set a password with or without Face ID, and you can save everything via your account however there’s ads every time you finish your day, there’s also no way to reliably get clovers for cute themes and most things are locked behind a pay way :C. Great for simple things however there’s not a bunch of free stuff.
