The Australian Drilling Industry Association are excited to announce the release of our first-ever app. The app features useful information and tools for mineral exploration, waterwell, geotechnical and environmental sectors.

Calculators There are 13 calculators which provide outputs for requirements like up-hole velocity using air or mud, fluid pump outputs, cementing volumes and mud density adjustments.

Conversions The ability to convert units between metric and imperial when measuring length, volume, pressure and weight, etc.

Reference Information Easy-to-use scrolling tables that show dimensions and weights for drill bits and the different types of drill rods used across the range of drilling methods including RC, waterwell, exploration and HDD.

Fishing Flowchart  A useful step-by-step guide for planning a recovery operation of an object that has been left down the drill hole.

Geology Identification This useful guide starts with the three main rock types and extends to the more specific grades, including their strength and rating on the Moh’s scale which will assist with correct drill bit selection.
