For a cordless ultrasound and a company that is new, I see a lot of potential for improvement in patient care. Three stars to help people know it’s not bad but need a lot of work. The app is free which is appropriate for its utility. If it becomes paid, it will need several improvements. Pros - I like the automated setting I can tap. Scrolling is a pain with 1 hand. Set up is good, easy to reach with my thumb. The interface for the IPad is fine as well. Glad I can save images, measure, annotate. Responds well with the Wi-Fi with minimal non disruptive lag. Improvements - 1. Fix the cardiac preset so the probe marker is reversed. Standard convention is that it should be on the right side of the screen. 2. I need to be able to save an image, and then later in the app view, measure or annotate. Currently i can only edit images immediately after capture 3. Needs more presets, specifically for skin and soft tissue and lung would be preferred 4. In PWD there is a lot of lag between moving the Doppler gate and graph formation. It’s much more prominent on the phone, less so on the iPad, but it’s really difficult to use PWD on the phone. 5. I can’t seem to move annotations once their made 6. It would be nice if the app had automated calculators for things like IVC measurements , VTI, EPSS, MAPSE and other common POCUS metrics. Update I’ve now had this ultrasound for about 6 months. It still works with no issue, and it has been relatively simple to incorporate into my practice. I use it a lot for practice and training residents but have utilized it frequently as a POCUS scanner in my own practice. So far I have seen no changes to the app which is really in desperate need of an overhaul. Main concerns: 1. The presets don’t seem reset which makes it hard to know what settings I should be using. 2. A lung preset is really needed. I use this to evaluate for lung fluid a lot, but having to set up my own settings is time consuming. 3. There needs to be a better way to save, store and review and annotate images. 4. See the above concerns as well Still a lot of potential, and really any young doctor or student could benefit from this product.
Amendment- I changed to 2 stars because I realized the presets aren’t really presets, but more probe selection. The settings don’t change between the different presets, just the focus and depth. This is quite disappointing, since I have to set up my own settings.

The listed (888) number has one person that answers it. He was happy to help sell me the device. He also reported their company does not do demonstrations. In lieu of that, they have a trial period where the device can be utilized. If the device does not meet expectations within this period, the full cost of the device can be refunded upon return of the device. As a radiologist, my opinion was the device (C5PL premium probe) has insufficient quality for many diagnostic and interventional applications. For this reason, the device was of no use to me. They were contacted, a shipping label for return was created, and the device was sent back less than a week after receiving it. This was 3 months ago, and I have still not received my refund. The same person answers the phone, and gives a stalling type excuse every time (I’ve called several times at this point). I spoke to him a few days ago and the excuse this time was that he was not the person to process the return so he would have to wait until Monday to find out. The issue there is, this male voice is the only one to answer the phone over several months. I’m finding this to be a hard to believe scenario. With what I know now, my concern is for longitudinal quality and support, and would consider a different product (Butterfly, GE Vscan).
