Features & Capabilities

Fig: The Mobile Companion is a science-backed mobile game designed to support mental well-being. Developed with psychiatrists and behavioral experts, it blends digital companionship, reminders, a private journal, and mood and habit tracking to help users stay on track with their mental health goals. With over 10,000 users in controlled environments, Fig is now available for download on the App Store.

Fig is intended to be used as a supplement to the standard of care, not to replace treatment provided by a healthcare professional or to provide information used to make diagnoses or therapeutic decisions. It should be seen as support for those seeking to improve their mental well-being. The app offers a 14-day free trial, followed by a $7.99 per month auto-renewing subscription. Pricing shown here applies to US customers; pricing in other countries may vary. Subscriptions auto-renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and manage/disable options are available in your iTunes account.

User Reviews

Users praise the app’s cute visuals and friendly vibe, and its ability to support medication adherence and mood tracking in a low-stress way. However, a recurring paywall and several stability issues limit accessibility and reliability for some users.
Pros
  • Charming visuals and a friendly, memorable character that make the app pleasant to use.
  • Helps users stay on track with medications and healthy daily routines (meds, exercise, regular meals).
  • Mood tracking and reframing feel gentle and non-overwhelming, supporting mental health progress.
  • Overall uplifting, engaging experience that many users look forward to using.
Cons
  • Paywall after a short free period; subscription is perceived as expensive and excludes users who can’t afford it.
  • Stability issues and bugs: occasional loading failures, screens getting stuck, or crashes that disrupt progress.
  • Reports of progress being reset or lost after issues.

Fig is just the cutest thing and the quality of the game is so good. You can’t play it all day, sometimes Fig is busy which makes it so you aren’t always on the app (I think). It’s so cool to see how the asteroid grows and changes as something new happens everyday in this app and that’s one of the things I love about it. I wish there were more mood options or like a small textbox for you to put your emotion into one word. Yes you get to have a journal type thing (or a “Captains Log” as Fig calls it) so you can put all your emotions there but there is a spot for you to click emotions to describe what you’re feeling, again I just wish there were more options for that part. Aside from that I absolutely love the app and find myself checking in with Fog everyday just to see what he’s up to. I love the fact that he’s so funny
