This is a smooth and straightforward app to use to view websites (“capsules”) on the Gemini protocol. Gemini is an alternative internet: it’s minimalist (text only) and lightweight. There are no tracking cookies, no surveillance analytics. It’s just people putting up their own weird little sites and stories and experiments up, to share them, and talking with one another. If you haven’t taken a look at gemini:// sites yet, download this app and follow the rabbit hole. If you allow yourself time to explore - it may take a tiny bit longer than you are currently used to - you will find something different, small / niche, and fun. You can even easily find servers to host your own Gemini capsule for free. And you will eventually want to, if you stick with this community for a few days, and truly permit yourself time to wander. In a nutshell: • Gemini is a reminder of what the internet once aspired to be, in what’s now a distant memory fading rapidly like an afterimage of the flash from the bulb of a polaroid camera. • The developer of this app is the friend who snapped your picture, waving the fresh print like a fan, back and forth, while it develops. this is the only Gemini browser i could find on the appstore. either way, it works, so 5/5 stars! . would be cool to see customization for colors or fonts added one day
