User Reviews

Users praise ReadBit for natural TTS, a well-organized library, good PDF support, and accessibility benefits for dyslexia/ADHD, with a free tier. However, stability problems (crashes, freezes, logouts), reading inaccuracies (skips, misreads, missing punctuation), inconsistent PDF performance, pricing concerns, and feature gaps (offline downloads, pronunciation controls) are the most frequently mentioned drawbacks.
Pros
  • High-quality, natural-sounding text-to-speech voices that many users find superior to alternatives
  • Strong library organization that makes it easy to manage and access content
  • Good PDF/document support with many users praising its PDF reading capability
  • Accessibility aid for dyslexia/ADHD, helping users read more easily
  • Free tier and relatively affordable compared to some competitors (e.g., some users say it’s free or cheaper)
Cons
  • Stability issues: frequent crashes on load, freezes when adding many books, and random logouts
  • Inconsistent reading accuracy: skipping paragraphs/lines, reads out of order, and sometimes misses parentheses and footnotes
  • PDF reading not reliable for all documents / inconsistent PDF performance
  • Pricing model perceived as expensive; users seek a lifetime option or less costly plan
  • Missing features and controls (offline download of entire books, pronunciation customization, browser extensions, broader voice options)

The app appears to be written for readers of fiction and not for textbooks, or documents that have illustrations or like items in them, making them worthless for use with anything other straight text documents…

Took away the one standard English voice that I preferred above even the enhanced ones.

Hey, every time I login or like just try to use the app a couple seconds later I get kicked out or after I used it for a while. I think everything’s OK. I get kicked out again and every time I try to post my thing I get kicked out too sometimes when I go back and it’ll show up again, but it’s a hit or miss. Can you please fix this problem?
