User Reviews

DTBA earns praise for form-focused, safe instruction from a PT-informed team, with credible, strength- and health–oriented workouts. It’s at‑home friendly and calendar-driven, with scalable levels, making it beginner- and rehab-friendly. Reviewers note strong programming, clear guidance, and a focus on movement quality over appearance. Main drawbacks are premium pricing, occasional app bugs/slow UX, limited free content, and lack of desktop/web access (plus Chromecast). Some videos are available for free on YouTube, affecting perceived value. Overall, it provides valuable instructional content but needs technical fixes and broader platform support.

The workouts and programming in this app are things I’ve been looking for for years. It’s physical therapy meets personal training and I truly don’t have enough good things to say! As someone who really enjoys movement but has been continually hampered by injuries, this app is helping me become more in shape and teaching me so much about my body and how to move correctly. Dr. Thoma makes the workouts fun and informative - and most importantly effective. The programming is so so thoughtful, each week is shaped to work the whole body, while also fitting in some really specific focuses that for me have been key to achieving the well-rounded strength in my body that helps prevent injury.
